  • Tired eyes, dark circles & puffiness are some of the most common problems most of us face every day. Especially, in the present pandemic situation, where we are engaged with plenty of work and too much of screen time. For some, a proper eye massage at an eye spa has now become a distant dream. So, to help you guys out, here we are with some quick and easy-to-follow steps to have a spa experience right at home:

Cleansing: To prepare for this process, take an equal amount of milk and rose water. Mix them properly and apply the mixture using cotton under the eye area. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes and then wash it off using cold water. Why rose water and milk? It’s because they have good cleansing properties that is useful to cleanse the under-eye area.

Scrubbing: Many of you might be puzzled at how can you scrub the under eye area since it is quite delicate. But you don’t have to consider any sort of heavy scrubbing. Simply make a mixture of honey and oats flour (grounded oats). Now, make a paste of this mixture and voila, your home-made scrub is ready. Apply this scrub under your eyes and massage for about 5 to 6 minutes. Leave it for a minute or two and then wash it off.

Massaging: No therapy is said to be complete without a little massage, especially when scrubbing is done. It is important to massage the under-eye areas after scrubbing to improve the blood circulation as well as tackle the dryness due to constant screen exposure. Use natural oils that are easily available in the market. Apply 2-3 drops of the oil and use your ring finger to gently massage the area for about 8 to 10 minutes.

Relaxing: You can also end the eye-spa with some cucumbers on your eyes for a relaxing timeout. Place two slices cold cucumber on your eyes for about 15 minutes and complete this session. You can also grate a potato, squeeze out the juice, chill the same, dip a piece of cotton and place it your eyes for the same amount of time. This will also help to reduce the effects of dark circles under your eyes.

    Wait! That’s Not All…

Just because you are doing an eye spa doesn’t mean you don’t need to take the precautions to protect your eyes. Wearing high-quality blue light blocker eyeglasses and UV protected sunglasses, that are available on Coolwinks.com, is a great way to add a shield between your eyes and the damage. So, spare a few minutes this week and give your eyes a relaxing time-out!
